In the mid-1990s, the World Rally Championship calendar included events that, on a rotating basis, did not count towards the top category, only counting towards the 2-liter championship. This meant that factory teams with their leading championship contenders didn't participate in these events, giving local drivers a chance to compete for victory. This happened in 1994 at the Rallye de España Catalunya Costa Brava, where Enrico Bertone, driving a privately entered Grifone Group A Celica ST185 Turbo 4WD, took the win against a battalion of front-wheel-drive 2-liter cars that were unable to put up a fight. This scale model kit maintains the same parts list as other references of the Hasegawa Celica kit, with only the decals being modified.

The Japanese company
Hasegawa has been one of the benchmarks for civilian vehicles for years, with fantastic models of cars and motorcycles. Although their most classic products continue to delight the most demanding modellers, with reissues that allow us to continue enjoying them, the new molds from this manufacturer have been quite a surprise (a pleasant one) due to their considerable jump in quality both in details as in fittings. If you try, surely you will repeat!
