Set of parts designed to detail and enhance the engine compartment of the Tamiya kit of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA. In this case, the engine was also modified to reproduce the narrow-head version used in the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA and GTAm racing cars. The set also includes other parts for detailing the engine bay, such as the
intake manifold and the
ignition coils, with wiring already included.

The 1600 Testa Stretta (narrow-head) engine is a high-performance engine derived from Alfa Romeo's 1.6-liter twin-cam engine. The "Testa Stretta" name refers to the design of its cylinder head, which has been optimized for maximum performance. The 1600 Testa Stretta engine also incorporated lightweight alloy components, featured high compression, and was fitted with twin Weber carburetors, which produced power in excess of 170 hp in its racing configuration. Its most famous use was in the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA and GTAm, iconic racing versions of the 1960s and 1970s, where this engine was key to Alfa Romeo's dominance in the touring car championships of that era.
