A new reference of the classic Hasegawa kit with a new livery, matching the two Subaru Italia units that competed in the 1993 Bettega Memorial, and with which
Colin McRae won with the number 1. The parts list does not change with respect to other references of the kit, and as a nice touch, the
rims do not match the five-spoke Speedline rims shown in the box photo.

The Subaru Impreza 555 Gr.A made its official debut at the 1000 Lakes Rally in 1993, with Ari Vatanen at the wheel, where it could not have had a more spectacular performance. Only a fault in the demisting system prevented the Finn from ringing the bell at the car's premiere.
Its four-cylinder boxer engine, with a multi-valve cylinder head and turbocharging was one of the elements that made the difference, with a maximum torque of 450 Nm and an estimated unofficial power of 340 hp, in addition to a not inconsiderable margin of use located between 4,000 and 6,500 rpm.
In terms of transmissions, the Impreza was an innovative car in its day, incorporating a semi- automatic system that allowed the drivers to make gear changes from the steering wheel by means of some keys located on the left and right spokes, although it did not come to fruition due to the constant movements of the steering wheel necessary in the rally stages. At the level of differentials, the Prodrive evolved the system until reaching an electro-hydraulic combination, in which two of the three differentials are viscous limited slip type.
His success in the World Rally Championship is unquestionable, winning the 1995 Drivers' Championships with Colin McRae and the Manufacturers' Championships in 1995 and 1996, moving on to the WRC versions the following year.

The Japanese company
Hasegawa has been one of the benchmarks for civilian vehicles for years, with fantastic models of cars and motorcycles. Although their most classic products continue to delight the most demanding modellers, with reissues that allow us to continue enjoying them, the new molds from this manufacturer have been quite a surprise (a pleasant one) due to their considerable jump in quality both in details as in fittings. If you try, surely you will repeat!
