The Nissan 240RS was the model of choice for Nissan to compete in what many consider to be the golden age of rallying, the era of brutal Group B. The 240RS was developed by Nissan's new racing division, Nismo, and was powered by the 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder FJ24 engine, capable of producing 240 hp in the street version, and just over 300 hp in its competition version.
The chassis of the 240RS was based on that of the Silvia S110, being an agile and controllable vehicle on all types of terrain, but the appearance of other better-endowed competitors, with four-wheel drive and turbocharged engines, meant that the Nissan could only shine in those events where reliability and robustness prevailed over pure speed.
Driven by legendary drivers such as Timo Salonen or Tony Pond, his best result in the World Rally Championship was achieved in the 1983 New Zealand Rally, finishing in second position. In addition, he achieved another 3 podiums, climbing to the third step of the podium in the Ivory Coast Rally of 1984 and 1985 and in the Safari Rally of 1985.
Of the Nissan 240RS, only the units necessary for its homologation were manufactured, 200, built between July 1982 and December 1982, with 150 left-hand drive cars and 50 right-hand drive cars. Around 30 of these units were used in the WRC and in national rally championships around the world.

Beemax Model Kits was born as a brand specializing in 1/24 scale competition cars, both rally and circuit. Later it was renamed to Nunu, so their references are gradually being marketed under the new brand, but without losing an ounce of their quality!
