Resin kit that will allow you to reproduce the second unit of the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR that the official Porsche team put on track for the 1973 edition of the 1973 24 Hours of Le Mans. Like the unit with number #46, it was equipped with the new aerodynamics with wide wedge-shaped rear fins that joined with the rear wing, so that practically the entire part of the car generated aerodynamic downforce. What it could not match was the final result, as it could not even complete the entire test, having to retire due to problems with the fuel supply system.

1973 was a year of rebirth for Porsche. The factory team entered the new 911 Carrera RSR cars, which were designed for the sports car category and equipped with 3-litre engines developing around 315 hp. These new cars, easily recognisable by their aerodynamic elements, did not disappoint Stuttgart. The hope implicit in the RSRs was that they would be able to compete at the front with the Matras and Ferraris.
At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the #47 Porsche entered by Martini Racing and driven by Reinhold Joest and Claude Haldi ran out of fuel during the sixth hour of racing, when it was in 42nd position. A refuelling error caused it to run out of fuel.
The Porsche Carrera RSR was based on the 911S, but many modifications were made to numerous areas, especially the bodywork. The wheel arches were widened as much as possible to accommodate 11-inch-wide wheels at the front and 14-inch-wide wheels at the rear. It should be noted that the 2.998 cc engine of the Carrera RSR had been achieved by increasing the cylinder bore of the 2.7-litre engine.
