After competing throughout the season in the Italian and European Rally Championships with the Broms Car livery, Adartico Vudafieri, with his regular co-driver Mauro Mannini, entered the 1978 Sanremo Rally in an all-white Camel-sponsored Stratos. Unfortunately, luck was not on their side and they retired due to an accident.
