Considered by many to be the most spectacular and exciting manifestation of the touring car boom of the 1990s, the German DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft) Championship featured numerous star drivers, many of them former F1 drivers, significant participation and involvement from manufacturers and, fundamentally, excellent promotion.
In 1993, the DTM adopted the FIA Class 1 regulations, which allowed the development of engines up to six cylinders and 2.5 liters that could rev to very high speeds, with advanced drive systems that could be all-wheel drive, and spectacular, aerodynamically efficient "silhouette" bodies. This technical freedom was decisive in Alfa Romeo's decision to join the DTM with its 155 V6 TI model, which naturally featured all-wheel drive and a 2.5-liter V6 engine. To the surprise of many, Alfa Romeo achieved 14 victories in its debut year and defeated the rival factory-backed teams, AMG-Mercedes and Joest-Opel, securing the 1993 title for Nicola Larini.
The following season, Alfa Romeo added three more cars to its factory team Alfa Corse, maintained by the semi-official team Schübel Engineering. Although the Alfa 155 V6 benefited from significant developments and technical improvements, including a new Kelsey-Hayes ABS system and active suspension, Alfa Romeo's season was hampered by unreliability. The 1994 title went to Mercedes-Benz thanks to Klaus Ludwig, while Nicola Larini finished third in the final standings.

The Japanese brand
Studio27 was one of the pioneers in creating accessories so that we could improve and modify our models. Decals, photo-etched parts and transkits were quite a discovery a few years ago. They have continued to innovate, and without neglecting the products that earned their well-deserved fame, their commitment to carbon fiber patterns for many of our models has been another huge success.
