The Lotus 95T is the name of the car used by the British Lotus team during the 1984 season. As a novelty, the regulations for that season included a limitation on the capacity of the fuel tank, which became a maximum of 220 litres. The smaller tank capacity allows the Lotus 95T design team, led by Gérard Ducarouge, to build a smaller car than the previous Lotus 94T, where the same Renault turbocharged engine is maintained. The Lotus 95T is also the first Lotus to feature an aerodynamic design characterized by mounting large "wings". The 95T rides on Goodyear tires, replacing the Pirelli tires, which had not performed well the previous season.

Throughout the year the Lotus 95T achieved two pole positions, the first in its debut at the Brazilian Grand Prix with Elio De Angelis, and the second with Nigel Mansell in the United States Grand Prix. The Lotus was very competitive in qualifying, although it would not be so competitive in the race, achieving its best results: second place (with De Angelis in Detroit), five third places, four fourth places, four fifth places and a sixth place, for a total of 47 points, which earned Lotus a third place finish in the 1984 Constructors' Championship.
