Now it is possible to assemble this historic champion in great detail, with a kit that contains no less than 451 parts, of which 114 are metal, all of them pre-painted and ready to be assembled. Once built, the front hood can be raised, revealing its impressive direct injection inline 8-cylinder engine, an engineering prodigy for its time. In addition, the kit has a remote control with which to play the sound of the engine. They are limited units, so don't miss out!

The Mercedes-Benz W196 R was designed by Rudolf Uhlenhaut and Fritz Nallinger. Its aerodynamic shape allowed it to reach high speeds. Fourteen units of the W196 R were built, including the prototype. Starting with the European Grand Prix at the Nürburgring, the car was replaced by a version with independent wheels, also known as a monoposto. Technically, the car was manufactured to the highest standards of its time and featured, for example, a tubular space frame, a torsion bar suspension, an articulated swing axle and turbo-cooled double drum brakes. The 290 hp cars were driven by Juan Manuel Fangio and Stirling Moss. In the twelve Grand Prix races they took part, these two drivers achieved no less than nine victories between them.
