Transkit to convert the Tyrrell P34 Tamiya kit into the version that made its
debut on the tracks on the occasion of the BRDC International Trophy in 1976, with Jody Scheckter at the wheel. It was not its "official debut", not because the race was a not-scored event, but because finally Scheckter, after testing the car in practice, decided to participate in the race with his Tyrrell 007, but it was the first laps of the P34 in an event of F1 and, furthermore, and as a curious fact, it is
the only version of the P34 that had a raised air intake, since for the next race, the Spanish Grand Prix, where the P34 already competed in its first race and which officially considered its debut, these types of air intakes were prohibited. The transkit includes
resin parts for the nose, the
engine cover with the raised air intake and the cockpit,
white metal parts for the mechanical parts,
two complete photo-etched plates plus an extra one to use as a template to
paint the logos of Goodyear tires, and a decal sheet.

The 28th edition of the BRDC International Trophy was a non-scoring race for the Formula One World Championship that was held at Silverstone on April 11, 1976. The race, contested over 40 laps, was won from pole position by the Englishman James Hunt, driving a McLaren-Ford M23, also achieving the fastest lap in the race. Italian Vittorio Brambilla finished second in a March-Ford 761, and South African Jody Scheckter was third in the only Tyrrell-Ford on the grid. The curious thing is that the idea was for the P34 to debut at this event, and Scheckter tested the car during previous practice sessions, but he was not very convinced of its performance and finally competed in the race with the 007 model.
