No less than 10 Mazda RX-7 units were present at the start of the 1982 Bathurst 1000Km, with an outstanding performance, the unit driven by Moffat and Katayama with the number #43 being the best classified in sixth position. which improved substantially in the
1983 edition, where they achieved
second position. This is the decoration chosen by
LB Production as an alternative for the Mazda SA22C Hasegawa kit of the 24 hours of Daytona.
