Big surprise with Tamiya's announcement of its new reference in their motorcycle range, none other than the exclusive
Superleggera V4. Its 998cc engine, which is bolted to the frame, is highly detailed, as well as the fairing with its carbon fiber
aerodynamic wings. The
chain is divided into two sections, improving the detail of the links, and you can even choose between the street and racing versions for the instrument panel. As usual, a spectacular work by Tamiya, with much more to discover!
Additional details for the
Ducati Superleggera V4 motorbike scale model kit:
The Ducati Superleggera V4, announced in February 2020, is a road legal version of the Panigale V4 produced by legendary Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati. The cornerstone of this motorcycle is its light weight, facilitated by carbon fiber material in the fairings, frame and swingarm. Its striking design includes distinctive carbon fiber biplane wings on each side of the front fairing to improve aerodynamics, and that are capable of generating 50 kg of downforce at 270 km/h.
The engine is the Desmosedici Stradale R, a 998 cc V-4 engine with Ducati's Desmodromic Valve Timing System, and producing a maximum power of 234 hp. This motorcycle also uses Öhlins suspension and Brembo brake system. In addition, the installation of the Akrapovic titanium silencer, which is for the racing kit, together with other specific parts for the engine, results in an excellent power-to-weight ratio of 1.54 hp/kg.
This Ducati is a limited series, since it was decided to build only 500 units in the world, assembled by skilled craftsmen with the latest in Ducati technology.
