In 2005 Andy Priaulx was proclaimed for the second time in a row touring car champion, although for the first time with the World Championship qualification (WTCC), and in the last race in Macau he wore a slightly different decoration, integrating the great UK used throughout the season by the team to the striking green colors of Watson's, a BMW regular on his visits to Macau. A very successful decal, where the yellows of the contours of the green areas are perfectly defined.
Additional details for the
BMW 320i E46 marking / livery:
Last round of the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) of the 2005 season, reaching the last round on the Macau street circuit with Dirk Muller, Andy Priaulx (both with BMW) and Fabrizio Giovanardi (Alfa Romeo) practically level on points, so between the three of them the championship would be played in its difficult streets.
The race started well for Priaulx, who had the best time in the qualifying session, with Muller sixth and Giovanardi ninth, on a circuit where overtaking is practically impossible except on the two long straights in the finish area.
After the first race the championship was almost sentenced, and with one of the contenders (Giovanardi) already discarded, since neither the latter nor Muller managed to score, while Priaulx achieved a valuable second position behind Augusto Farfus' Alfa Romeo.
The second heat held a similar result, with Priaulx being the only one to score, again in second position, although this time the winner was the Dutchman Duncan Huisman with another BMW 320i, but from the BMW Team Holland.
In this way, Andy Priaulx became, 18 years after the previous edition of the World Touring Car Championship, the new champion .
