There are doubles, triplets, but Kamaz's result in the 2022 Dakar goes even further... the first four positions of the rally in the truck category were for Kamaz... and there are already 19 victories. The manufacturer Zvezda has developed the kit of this desert beast, and although in principle its scale is somewhat smaller than usual (1/35), the almost 7 meters in length of the real model will mean that once assembled, the model will still have an important size. The kit includes a total of 275 pieces, which is indicative of the large amount of details that the model includes, with a spectacular breakdown of all the mechanical parts. Zvezda has the official license from the Kamaz Rallye team, and so the kit includes all sponsor logos as shown in the product box pictures, covered by such license permit.
Additional details for the
Kamaz Master 43509 truck scale model kit:
The measurements of the Dakar trucks are impressive, and in the case of the Dakar 2022 Kamaz 435091 they speak for themselves; 6.9 m in total length, a height of 3.3 m, and a width of 2.5 m. The empty weight of the truck without fuel is 8,600 kg, a figure that rises to a gross weight of 10,200 kg, with a tank capacity of 950 litres.
In the mechanical section, the Kamaz uses a turbocharged diesel engine with six cylinders in line with a capacity of 13 liters and a variable and automatic gearbox. The speed of the truck will still be limited (in the 2021 edition of the Dakar the trucks were capped at 130 km/h), but KAMAZ announces that the new 435091 can reach 165 km/h.
The Kamaz 435091 premiered in competition at the 2021 Silk Road Rally, held between Russia and Mongolia, where Dmitry Sotnikov, the winner of the 2021 Dakar (and who would also be in 2022), was in charge of making its debut, achieving victory ahead of another two of the new Kamaz.

Zvezda was founded in 1990 by a group of scale modelling enthusiasts headed up by Konstantin Krivenko, driven by the idea to turn their hobby into a profession and offer the product that was at the time sorely lacking in the Russian market. In 1993 they obtained the Lobnya Plastic Toy Factory, implemented an equipment upgrade at the factory and built a brand new manufacturing shop. Since then, they develop and design all of their products in house, striving to deliver the utmost authenticity in their models replicating as much detail as possible in the reduced scale. This is possible thanks to close cooperation with leading Russian and foreign design companies, such as Sukhoi Design Bureau, Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG, Uralvagonzavod, GAZ, Boeing, Airbus, and others.
