A curious mixed version of the Citroen B14 mixes the pick-up and the conventional tourism with a canvas roof. Heller allows us to make this model as it was done in real life, with the chassis with stringers, leaf spring suspensions, and the bodywork placed directly on the chassis. And in addition, also the
engine and gearbox are reproduced.
Additional details for the
Citroen B14 Normande car scale model kit:
Citroën presented the B14 in October 1926. It was a vehicle with a low and light chassis compared to previous models, and was mounted at the front and rear on semi-elliptical springs. It was equipped with four-wheel drum brakes, and the fuel tank capacity was 30 liters.
From the point of view of the appearance of the car, important efforts were made in search of elegance, and there were many different versions: Roaster (4 doors with soft top), Sedan, Coach, Cabriolet, Sedan Taxi, Landaulet, and finally the Normande (open utility).
Among its technical characteristics, its 4-cylinder in-line 1,539 cc engine, giving 22 CV at 2,300 rpm. It used a Solex carburettor, and mounted a non-synchronized 3-speed gearbox. The maximum speed was 80 km/h.
