MFH presents us the model of the impressive Porsche 917/30 Vaillant of the Interserie championship at 1/43 scale, where the most diverse materials are combined. Apart from the classic white metal and resin, the pieces that make up the different parts of the tubular structure of the chassis or the grills of the bodywork over the front wheels printed in 3D (laser lithography) are striking, as do the tires with the pre-painted tire brand. Despite its scale, all mechanical parts are accessible and visible, presenting a high level of detail.

Apart from its successes in the Can-Am series, the Porsche 917/10 also competed successfully in Europe in the Interseries Championship. where he won four times. In 1972 and 1973 the winner was Leo Kinnunen, while in 1974 and 1975 the champion was Herbert Müller. Herbert Müller was the winner of the test held at the Motodrom Hockenheim circuit of the 1975 Interseries championship, ahead of the Lola T284 Ford piloted by Heinz Schulthess.
The question is, why a 917/30 if it has a short chassis? Well, because it is chassis 917/30.001, which had the peculiarity of having an "extendable" chassis. With this chassis, all the tests were carried out to decide the wheelbase that the 917/30 of the Penske team would use in the Can-Am Championship.
What makes this chassis unique is that its original 2,316mm wheelbase can be extended to 2,500mm. After testing in the winter of 1972/1973, chassis 001 was converted back to 917/10 specification and used in Interseries racing between July 1973 and April 1975.
