This is a scale model kit to be assembled by an adult; it includes all the parts as indicated but it does not include glue or paints, which can also be purchased separately at SpotModel!.
What can be said about this model, apart from the fact that it is perhaps one of the most beautiful of all time? A true work of art, of which only 18 units were built, all of them by hand. And now, so that you too can build it by hand, MFH is re-editing it for a very limited time and with very few units available. The kit, as usual at MFH, combines various materials, with white metal and resin parts, turned metal parts, rubber tires, photo-etched sheets, decal sheets and various types of cables and tubes that will allow you to complete your model almost like the original vehicle. The front windshield and rear window frames as well as the headlight surrounds are pre-cut aluminium pieces. Once assembled, both the front and rear hoods and the doors can be opened, allowing a complete view of the interior and the mechanical part. A real treat that you can't miss!

Additional details for the Alfa Romeo Tipo33 Stradale car scale model kit:

Presented at the 1967 Turin Motor Show on the eve of the 1967 Formula 1 Monza Grand Prix as a perfect example of the link between the world of racing and road cars, the history of the Alfa Romeo Tipo33 Stradale can only be understood thanks to the impressive sporting record of the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 race car developed by Autodelta. At some point in the mid-1960s, Alfa Romeo decided to transfer all the power of this glorious racing model to a road-legal vehicle that was relatively comfortable to drive on the motorway. The result of this idea was the Alfa Romeo Tipo33 Stradale, a magnificent two-seater that is now considered the first modern supercar and perhaps one of the most beautiful cars of all time.

Its bodywork was designed by Franco Scaglione, and each of the 18 units built was built by Carrozzeria Marazzi. Since they were hand-made, each of the 18 units built is different from each other, and with each unit built, different decisions were made to improve the car and its tedious production process. This is why we can see, for example, different designs of the windscreen. Another curiosity is that the first two prototypes built had a double headlight configuration, very attractive from a design point of view but which did not meet the legal lighting requirements for a street model. This meant that Scaglione had to redo the design of the optics, moving to a single headlight configuration.

As far as its mechanics are concerned, we find a two-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine located in the rear central position, which developed a power of 227 hp and 206 Nm of torque, which were sent to the rear axle through a six-speed manual gearbox developed by the specialist Colotti. In terms of performance, the 33 Stradale was capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, covering 1,000 metres from a standing start in just 24.0 seconds and reaching a top speed of 260 km/h. In fact, at the time it was the fastest production car in the world.

The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is smaller than its sleek silhouette suggests, with an overall length of 3.97 metres, a wheelbase of 2.35 metres and a height of just 99 centimetres. One of the most characteristic elements of the Italian sports car were its vertically opening doors, with a huge glass surface that curved towards the roof, creating a kind of dome, an effect further accentuated by the design of the panoramic windscreen. The interior was luxurious for a sports car of the time. The entire cabin was covered in leather and had polished metal inserts. The seats, with a sporty design, were positioned very low, as Alfa Romeo did not want the occupants to hit their heads against the roof when closing the doors.

The immortal beauty of the 33 Stradale, together with its technology derived directly from the Tipo 33 racing car, made this model one of the most representative icons of the Biscione brand.
