Fantastic!!!Additional details for the
Suzuki Katana GSX 1100S motorbike scale model kit:
The Suzuki Katana GSX 1100S was launched in 1981, and gets its name from the famous Samurai sword. The Suzuki Katana was designed to be useful and to be used every day. The engine initially had 1,100 cc, although a reduced displacement version was produced so that it could participate in AMA Superbike races, which imposed a maximum limit of 1,000 cc. Changes to the crankshaft, camshafts and the addition of round-slide Mikuni VM32SS carburettors allowed the 1-litre version to produce 90bhp, just two less than the 1,100cc version. The Suzuki Katana GSX was a bestseller and the design had an influence on all subsequent sportbikes. Parts of the Katana design philosophy are still seen on today's sportbikes, including aerodynamic design aspects of the seats and fuel tank.
