In 1973, the Alpine Berlinette 1600S is in its heyday. It is your version of competition that will bring this year the glory of the Alpine brand to win the first world championship of rally builders. This car specially prepared for the rally in group 4. Externally, compared to an Alpine series, its wings are widened for the passage of wider wheels, the engine capacity of 1600 cc is increased to 1800 cc, which makes this engine prepared by Marc Mignotet has a power of about 180 hp. Thanks to the talented drivers and a team of motivated mechanics, the Alpine team was able to write a great page of history. French motor racing started with the victory of Jean Claude Andruet in the Monte Carlo Rally and ending the season with the victory of Jean Pierre Nicolas in the Tour de Corse.
