Additional details for the
Alpine Renault A110 1600 S car scale model kit:
In 1973, the Alpine Renault 1600S was at its peak, and its racing version would achieve glory for the Alpine brand that year by winning the first World Rally Championship for constructors. The Alpine A110 1600S was specially prepared for rallies following Group 4 regulations. Externally, compared to a standard Alpine, it had wider wings to accommodate its wider wheels. Its 1.600 cc engine sees its displacement increase to 1.800 cc, which allows the engines prepared by Marc Mignotet to reach a power of about 180 HP. Thanks to the talent of its drivers and a team of motivated mechanics, the Alpine team was able to write a great page in the history of French motorsport, starting with the victory of Jean Claude Andruet in the Monte Carlo Rally and ending the season with victory by Jean Pierre Nicolas in the Tour de Corse.
