Not all sports cars and convertibles have to be very powerful and high-performance vehicles to stand out, something that Alfa Romeo demonstrated on several occasions, as it did in the mid-1950s with the Giluetta Spider, which stood out above all for its
beauty and elegance. Italieri has reproduced this model, with a kit that lends itself to a great deal of detail work, since it allows the
front compartment where its small aluminum engine is located to be seen, and
the doors to be opened to admire the interior of this coquettish convertible. Pure Italian design!

In 1954, Alfa Romeo presents the Giulietta, its second model for series production with a self-supporting body, and available in numerous variants. At first, it hits squarely with a sleek, streamlined coupe body designed by Bertone. The engine had a peculiarity, since both the cylinder head and the block of its 1,290 cc engine are made of aluminium, something unusual for the time. In addition, the cylinder head has two overhead camshafts, and its 65 HP of power allow it to reach speeds of up to 160 km/h. Then came the four-door sedan, and the Giulietta range became very popular, especially the Spider model, designed by Pininfarina, which began production in 1956.
The Spider version of the Giulietta, better known as the Spider Veloce (fast), was equipped with an improved version of the engine fed by two Weber 40 DCOE carburettors, producing 90 hp. The Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce was in production until 1963 and, in total, only 2,796 examples were built.
