The Ferrari F92A was the single-seater used by Scuderia Ferrari in the 1992 season. There were two versions of the single-seater, the original F92A version that competed in the first eleven races of the season, and the updated F92AT version that competed in the last races of the season. The single-seater was driven by Jean Alesi for the entire season and by Ivan Capelli for most of it, before he was sacked and replaced by Nicola Larini for the last two races of the year.
The Ferrari F92A became famous for its "double flat bottom" floor, which made driving difficult. The F92AT version was presented in August during a test day at the Monza circuit, running for the first time on the occasion of the Belgian Grand Prix. This new version incorporated a seven-speed transverse gearbox, with a modified front suspension. It also featured a more rigid engine mounting system and updated lower wings. The car only achieved two podiums throughout the year thanks to Jean Alesí, and a total of 21 points, for which it is considered one of the worst cars ever built by the Scuderia.
