Model Factory Hiro re-edited for a limited time this wonderful 1/12 scale model: rims come fully broken up, with each part individually chromed; the engine, cast in white metal, includes even fully operable pistons and connecting rods; tyres are rubber made, and the body is molded in perfectly injected white resin. Despite failing to win the Le Mans 24 Hours, which went to the #6 Ferrari 330, the result for the 250 GTOs was certainly impressive, taking the other two podium positions with the cars #19 and #22.

Additional details for the Ferrari 250 GTO car scale model kit:
The 1962 World Championship was reserved for GT cars, so Enzo Ferrari told his chief engineer Giotto Bizarrini and Scaglietti's boss that he needed a small, light car based on the Berlinetta. Bizarrini went to work, strengthening the existing chassis as much as possible with the short 2,400mm wheelbase and moving the Colombo engine closer to the cabin, so that the heat it gave off had to escape through two (later three) vents. located on the sides. He improved the engine by increasing the size of the valves and the profile of the camshafts, as well as mounting new exhaust manifolds and, between the V of the twelve-cylinder engine, a battery of double-barrel Weber type 38 DCN carburettors that provided almost 300 hp.
The Commendatore himself had established the basic lines of the silhouette, with three conspicuous crescent-shaped openings in the nose that allowed the engine to breathe. This, together with the rear-mounted rear spoiler, used at the GTO's first race at Sebring in 1962, and later fully integrated into the design, enhanced the car's powerful nature.
At Enzo Ferrari's press conference on February 24, 1962, the GTO, where the "O" stands for Omologato, for homologated, was presented to a respectful audience. The GTO won three world titles between the years 1962 and 1964, and won numerous races.
