1970 was a very successful year for the Porsche 917K, with victories in many races, but above all in the most relevant in the world of endurance, the
24 hours of Daytona and the
24 hours of La Mans. At both races the
JW Engineering team cars, better known by their Gulf colours, were present in large number. In order to make any of its versions, this decal sheet includes the
different configurations and numbers used by the team, #1 and #2 (race winner) at Daytona, and #20, #21 and #22 at Le Mans. There are even numbers that can be used for other numbers, which never hurts.

The legend of the Porsche 917 is already forged from the very moment of its presentation. The Porsche factory built 25 units according to the plan required to achieve homologation. The technical aspects and performance of this car are impressive: 4.5 or 4.9 L 12-cylinder boxer engine, 580 hp, weight 810 kg and a top speed of 380 km/h. But really the fame of the Porsche 917 is achieved on the track, with numerous victories over several seasons.
For the team from Gulf Wyer, the 1970 Le Mans race is one to forget, since all their cars are forced to abandon due to different problems (accident, technical problems...).

Renaissance Models is a French brand that has been creating complete models, decals, and transformation kits for years, both at 1/43, 1/24 and 1/12 scale. Their resin pieces, photo-etched parts and a multitude of available decorations will delight lovers of "less popular" versions.
