Sebastien Loeb announced his full-time retirement from world rallying at the end of 2012, and during 2013 his program was reduced to just a few specific races. On the occasion of what was going to be his last participation in a World Championship rally before Loeb embarked on his adventure in the WTCC World Touring Car Championship also with Citroen, his team prepared a very special commemorative decoration for him, and also in a very special car. The decoration showed in figures the impressive data achieved by Loeb in the World Championship, no less than 78 victories (currently there are more) and 9 world titles, apart from the number of stages won or rallies contested. The car was the unit with chassis 17, with which Sébastien Loeb won his ninth World Rally Championship title. This unit participated in 32 rallies between 2012 and 2016 with 11 victories and a total of 16 podiums, with only four retirements. The result in the rally itself was not what was expected, as Loeb was forced to retire after going off the road in stage 15, having won 4 stages of the rally up to that point.
