The Benetton B192 debuted in the third Grand Prix of the 1992 season (Spain), where Michael Schumacher managed to finish second. The Benetton could be considered a conservative car for the time, especially compared to the Williams that dominated F1 at the time. Mechanically, it had a Cosworth 3.5 V8 naturally aspirated engine at 75º that delivered 700 hp, mechanical sequential gearbox and passive suspensions. The engine clearly underperformed its competitors at the time, but the car's strong points were the chassis and aerodynamics. The Benetton B192 is a historic car for being the one with Michael Schumacher's first victory in F1, this being just one year after his debut in the Belgian GP in 1992. That year he finished third in the drivers' world championship and Benetton in the of builders. Another point to note is the fact that it is the first car in which the trio Brown, Byrne and Schumacher worked together, who later went to Ferrari also together...
