Without a doubt, the Alpine is one of the first rallying myths, capable of winning several editions of rallies as tough as the Monte Carlo, as happened in its 1971 edition, which is precisely the version that Tamiya has chosen to reproduce. A wonderful kit with all kinds of details, such as the chassis on which the light fiberglass body was supported or the
Alpine four-cylinder engine mounted longitudinally in the rear. A myth that should not be missing in the showcase of any rally fan!

Paints recommended by Tamiya / SpotModel for this product:
The Alpine A110 was a very popular vehicle in the early 1970s, achieving international fame as a rally car during the 1970-1972 seasons, when it entered the newly created International Manufacturers' Championship, winning several races in Europe and being considered one of the best rally cars of its time.
Its most notable performances include victory at the Monte Carlo Rally in 1971 with Swedish driver Ove Andersson. At the same time, the purchase of Alpine by Renault was forged, while the International Championship for Manufacturers was replaced by the World Rally Championship for Manufacturers in the 1973 season. For this championship, Renault chose to compete with the A110, being one of the first vehicles that participated in said championship.
The Alpine A110 began its assault on the new World Rally Championship for Manufacturers in the Monte Carlo Rally, achieving victory in the hands of Frenchman Jean-Claude Andruet, which made it the first vehicle to win in an event of the newly released World championship. In that 1973 season the A110 won most of the races in which it participated, achieving a total of six victories, giving Alpine the first world constructors' title.
