Backstage
As in almost every discipline, behind the racing machines lies a truly complex and fascinating subculture: the backstage. This is where mechanics, engineers, transporters, managers, team principals, designers, and other professionals work. It's where support crews and many other elements of the racing world come together.

In fact, Lancia Delta S4 Corsa Backstage is the new title by RC Books that we will soon be receiving at SpotModel. Its 240 pages include more than 200 illustrations of the Lancia Delta S4, the support vehicles, the drivers' racing suits, and so on. In short, everything behind the scenes surrounding the Lancia machine.

RC Books became part of SpotModel's extensive product catalog due to their interesting graphical documentation and all the technical and historical information, which modelers greatly appreciate.

So you can start making room on your shelf for another magnificent graphic work, which you can now pre-order at SpotModel. :D

We all remember Hans Heyer's blue Lancia Beta Monte Carlo on his way to winning the German DRM title, equivalent to today's DTM, in 1980. But the car wasn't always painted in the classic blue of the Fruit of the Loom livery... and sometimes it was painted white, as in the season opener at Zolder. This is precisely the livery chosen for this new Reji Models entry, which finished second in Division II.

Lack of development, low power compared to the competition from its Hart V8 engine, and unreliability hampered the Footwork team during the 1997 season, achieving a single point throughout the year thanks to Jos Verstappen's sixth place in the Argentine Grand Prix, the third round of the season. The kit reproduces the versions used at the beginning of the season, with part of the bodywork in white. This scale model kit is designed as a curbside model, with the complete bodywork made of resin, accompanied by numerous white metal parts for the rims, cockpit, suspension, gearbox, and other mechanical elements.

This scale model kit is designed as a curbside model, with the complete bodywork made of resin, accompanied by numerous white metal parts for the rims, cockpit, suspension, gearbox, and other mechanical elements. Added to this is the complete decal sheet and a sheet of photo-etched parts. Founded by Kenji Mimura, the small Japanese team Maki made its F1 debut in 1974, competing in two Grands Prix, the English and German Grands Prix. Using the classic Cosworth V8 DFV engine, it failed to qualify for the race, and unfortunately, a serious accident at the Nürburgring destroyed the car, and it did not participate again that season. This scale model kit lets you reproduce this single-seater, and it is designed as a curbside model, with the complete bodywork made of resin, accompanied by numerous white metal parts for the rims, cockpit, suspension, gearbox, and other mechanical elements. Added to this is the complete decal sheet and a sheet of photo-etched parts. The small Maki team, founded by Kenji Mimura, once again attempted their dream of qualifying for an F1 Grand Prix in the 1975 season with a revamped F101C. Unfortunately, neither acclaimed Japanese driver Hiroshi Fushida nor former Lotus driver Tony Trimmer managed to qualify in any of the five Grands Prix in which they competed. This scale model kit to reproduce this single-seater, sponsored by Citizen, is designed as a curbside model, with the complete bodywork made of resin, accompanied by numerous white metal parts for the rims, cockpit, suspension, gearbox, and other mechanical elements. Added to this is the complete decal sheet and a sheet of photo-etched parts. Wolf Kits Reference: GP20085

An impressive comeback was achieved by Italian driver Vittorio Brambilla in the 1978 Austrian Grand Prix aboard his modest Surtees Ford TS20. Held on the Österreich circuit, the race was marred by rain, which forced a red flag to stop the race on the seventh lap. Brambilla, starting from twenty-first place, took advantage of the track conditions to finish in sixth place, which meant the Surtees team's first and only point of the season. This scale model kit is designed as a curbside model, with the complete bodywork made of resin, accompanied by numerous white metal parts for the rims, cockpit, suspension, gearbox, and other mechanical elements. Added to this is the complete decal sheet and a sheet of photo-etched parts. Despite having a design similar to the Brabham BT46, especially in the area of the sidepods, the Surtees Ford TS20 was not as competitive as the team had hoped, scoring only one point in the entire 1978 season thanks to Vittorio Brambilla. The team's second driver, Rupert Keegan, proved to be considerably slower, failing to qualify on several occasions and finishing only one race, the Spanish Grand Prix at the Jarama circuit. This scale model kit is designed as a curbside model, with the complete bodywork made of resin, accompanied by numerous white metal parts for the rims, cockpit, suspension, gearbox, and other mechanical elements. Wolf Kits Reference: GP20074

This scale model kit reproduces the Surtees Ford TS19 that competed, with Australian Alan Jones at the wheel, in the 1976 Japanese Formula 1 Grand Prix, held at the Fuji circuit. Starting from a very late twentieth position on the grid, Alan Jones demonstrated his quality by running in second place with two laps to go. He was overtaken first by Patrick Depailler and, on the last lap, by James Hunt, who earned the points needed to be crowned champion. This left Jones just shy of the podium in fourth place... which was still his best position, and the best position for a Surtees driver all season. The kit includes the complete resin body, accompanied by numerous white metal parts for the rims, cockpit, suspensions, and other mechanical elements. Among these, the Cosworth engine stands out, which is fully assembled and visible at the rear. The kit is completed with the decal sheet and a photo-etched plate. In addition to the dry tires, the kit includes rubber strips with the wet tire pattern, which can be glued over the dry tires to replicate the tires used for much of the event.

This scale model kit reproduces the Surtees Ford TS19 that American driver Brett Lunger drove to compete in the 1976 Belgian Grand Prix at Zolder.
