Xmas 2024

Xmas 2024
In a few days we will celebrate Christmas: days for enjoying family and friends, for spending time at home and, of course, for building scale models!!!

These days we've been receiving some very tasty and interesting "Christmas treats"... Among them, the boss has asked Santa for a 1/12 scale Lancia Stratos by Italeri. Luckily, it's very close, just a few meters away, but all those who are a few thousand kilometers from the SpotModel warehouse remember that logistics companies are at full capacity at this time of year, so your gifts may take a few days longer than initially estimated.

The good news is that the SpotModel team doesn't take a rest, we are open for you every day of the year. Well, to be precise, this year we have been closed for twenty-seven seconds and three-tenths due to a "tyre change" on the web server, quite a record. :)

We hope you enjoy these days, as much as we at SpotModel enjoy the Christmas image that our friend Holger sent us. Merry Christmas!!!

Are you planning to add one of USCP's fantastic engines to your Hasegawa BMW 2002 kit, but you're not quite convinced by the fact that you have to cut the hood off the body? Or have you already started the conversion, but the cut isn't as fine as you would have liked? Don't worry. USCP has taken this possibility into account, and has developed the engine hood as a separate part so that you don't have to worry about cutting the hood. Now there are no more excuses!

Studio27 has thought of the same, developing a decal sheet that will allow you to choose between two decorations where the typical Nissan colours, red and blue, are interchanged. The Jaguar XJ200 was rarely seen in competition. Officially, it only raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1993 and 1995, but some examples were seen in private hands in both the British and Italian Championships, which is precisely where the version that this kit allows to be made was raced. This XJ220 was slightly modified compared to the road car, and did not have factory support, but it did feature iconic decoration thanks to its main sponsor, Martini. The kit includes the BBS wheels that it used in competition, as well as a specific competition interior with seat, steering wheel, fire extinguisher and door panels. In addition, the kit allows the complete engine to be made, which will be visible through the rear engine cover.
