Speed Trials
We know Jabbeke because it hosts the largest civil scale modeling event in Europe, an unmissable event that takes place this weekend, and of course we are going to attend with our friends and our scale models.

It is a small, quiet city near the sea, located next to the highway, that has a peculiar role in the history of the automobile that we love: it still preserves a small part of what was once a road that, at the end of the 1940s and early 1950s, became the chosen destination for British vehicle speed trials and saw world records being set by a wide variety of cars.

After the Second World War, the Brussels-Oostende motorway, a flat, straight road with good asphalt, was the perfect place to carry out speed tests. Thanks to this, half of all land speed records were broken at the time. Well-known faces such as Donald Healey, Goldie Gardner, Sir William Lyons and Stirling Moss were seen there and machines such as the Jaguar XK120, the Sunbeam Alpine, the Triumph TR2 and the Pegaso Z102 SL smashed the speed record over and over.

Automobile history and scale modeling with SpotModel heading to Jabbeke!! XD

We may not usually realize it, but when the headlights and reflectors of your models have their interior detailed, they gain a lot in terms of realism and presence. Currently any modern kit has this detail, but what about some kits recently re-edited from old molds, such as the Mercedes 190 2.3 16V by Italeri? Well, they have not been modified, but don't worry, with these parts printed using 3D technology by Scale Production your Mercedes model will have "quality" lights.

According to what is said, it took a while for Pep Bassas to get the quintessence of the M3, but through work and method, he managed to become one of the fastest drivers in Spain... so much so that in 1988 he became the Carlos Sainz's main rival for the Spanish Rally Championship, and in 1989, already with Sainz in the world championship with Toyota, he was crowned Spanish champion. In the 1988 Corte Inglés rally, also scoring for the European Championship, he demonstrated his class by taking third place behind Carlos Sainz in his Sierra Cosworth and Fabrizio Tabaton aboard a Lancia Delta Integrale. How beautiful the M3 was with the Telefunken colors adorning its body!

Well now you can, thanks to this decal sheet that Studio27 has prepared with the necessary logos to make the version that raced in the German DRM during the second part of the 1977 season.
