The hard truth

The hard truth
In today's newsletter, we're going to reveal to you a secret that will shake the very foundations of your scale modeling world. Please don't tell anyone, but some manufacturers are more expensive than others, and their quality standards also differ. Incredible, isn’t it? ;-)

But here’s another big truth, the usual rule of thumb of "the more expensive, the better" doesn't always apply: there are cheap parts by some rising manufacturers with a "how the hell do they make that?" quality level, as well as seasoned manufacturers that may have lowered their standards to "why the hell did they make that?" on some products. Of course, we have to offer products for every public and taste so you can decide on which sections of your scale model you want to add an detail up set or save some bucks instead, but the thing is: how do you tell which case is which for every single product?

We carefully review every one of them and carefully write our product description, but it's just ONE opinion, and clearly thousands of eyes see way better than just ours, right? So we're ready for you to start giving your own opinions on any of the more than sixty thousand references you can find at SpotModel. :)

Talking about hard truths? We will only show you the option if we can prove that you have seen it in your hands (this is, you have bought it, and it has been shipped already), and will validate each one of your comments before publishing it to avoid disrespectful language or dishonest opinions (if your dog ate your decals, it's not a manufacturing problem: the problem is your dog) , but we will NEVER EVER reject an opinion because it says that a product has a problem, or that it is low quality, or that it is the best thing that has happened in your life since the invention of the cyanoacrylate: if that's what it is, that's what it is :)

Once logged in, you can find the "Review" button on every single product you have already bought, as well as all of them together in your order history for a more convenient access. Each one of the opinions that take you just a moment to write will help thousands of scale modelers all over the world, and will even allow the manufacturers to fully understand why their products are either great (and keep them that way), or not so good (and hopefully try to fix it); otherwise, all they can do is try to figure out those reasons, but they might be wrong and could try to fix what is not broken... Wouldn't it be great if we could just tell them what we need to change about one product, or what we absolutely love and need to keep untouched? Now you can! :)

Make yourself heard at SpotModel, the scale modelling community will thank you... and in advance so do we! :D

Other aesthetic elements present in the model are the large horns, the different aerodynamic appendages and the characteristic spoiler on the roof of the cabin.

They may look the same, but the two Tyrrell P34s that raced in the 1976 Japanese Grand Prix had significant differences. So many that there are two different transkits, one for number #3 and one for number #4. The main difference from Patrick Depailler's number #4 single seater was its rear wing with "small" side panels. In addition, a whole series of small pieces in resin and white metal, apart from the generous photo-etched plate, to detail the Tamiya kit as much as possible. And one of the most interesting details of such a famous race to win the 1976 title in favor of James Hunt... the wet tires used during the race.

We are used to seeing the famous orange Jagermeister decorations on the big monsters of the circuits, but that does not mean that there are other disciplines where we find models sponsored by this drink. In the mid-70s, a modest Golf GTI participated in several international rallies with their colors. This decal sheet allows you to choose between 3 options: the 1975 International Hessen Rally with number #24, the 1975 RAC Rally of England with number #52, and the 1976 Monte Carlo Rally with number #74.
