Driven by Nascar ace Marshal Teague teaming with Leslie Snow, the number 44 Hudson Hornet finished sixth overall in the 1951 Carrera Panamericana.

The most famous of the Hudson models also had a four-door variant, which was equipped with a six-cylinder engine of more than five litres, and which in the street version delivered up to 151 horsepower. With this vehicle, the famous NASCAR driver Marshal Teague, with Leslie Snow as a co-driver, achieved thirteenth place overall and seventh in the category of production vehicles in the 1952 Pan-American Race.

In the early 1950s, Cadillacs were high-performance cars, equipped with 5.4-liter V8 engines with more than 160 horsepower. This unit that participated in the 1950 edition of the Panamericana was also known as "Carro México", and was commissioned before the race by the president of Mexico Miguel Alemán himself. This vehicle, owned by Bill Toya, parts dealer and hot rod preparer, was driven by John Fedricks and Joe Bozied to the twenty-fourth final position in the second edition of the Carrera Panamericana, held in 1951.

In 1954, the road version of this Cadillac, equipped with a 5.4-liter V8 engine, delivered 215 horsepower, which, despite its tonnage, allowed a good level of performance. This model entered the Carrera Panamericana that year, with Stringer and Wood came in fourteenth place overall.
