Mirror, mirror on the wall... :)
Not so long ago some guys invented the 'black chrome' which is a chroming technique using chemicaly modified chrome to get a deep black tone, while mantaining the glossiness and reflectivity of classic chrome. The lads at Bare Metal Foil have recreated this effect in one of their famous adhesive sheets, and of course SpotModel was not going to miss it :)Some more interesting things for this week, such as some discontinued kits of the Porsche 935 in 1/20 scale from Tamiya, a couple of MFH books about 1977 Grands Prix (Grand Prices? Grand Prixs? Grand Prixes? Well, several of them :), the arrival to stock of several decals from Studio27, and the Heller Renault R5 kit that replaces the discontinued kit from Tamiya.
Also, don't miss the restocking of Microscale Liquid Decal Film, an essential helper if you need to use old decals.
So mirror, mirror on the wall, who's going to get the deepest and shiniest blacks of all? :D

Very thin, adhesive foil with a "black" chrome look. Black chrome is similar to the traditional chrome tone only that it has an appearance that ranges from smoky to true black, although its shine is still metallic.

Everyone who build scale models and uses decals should have Micro Liquid Decal Film, especially if you are an expert scale model builder. The classic decal scrap box is not the best place to store the decals. When exposed to air, sunlight, moisture, great temperature changes or general abuse, decals will get damaged. Or maybe you just always have had trouble putting on thin stripes. Micro Liquid Decal Film solves all those problems, making a damaged decal (for what ever reason) work again just like new almost immediately.

Beautiful decoration that Studio27 offers us of one of the Alpines that participated in the 1972 tour de France. This version is characterized by using the recognizable electric blue color of the Alpines in combination with the white roof.
