The spectacular Gigi Galli participated aboard one of the ex-official Peugeot 307 WRCs, thanks to the sponsorship of Pirelli, in the 2006 Tour de Corse Rally, finishing in ninth position. A position that had its merit, since it was the second car among all those that used Pirelli tires, among which was the official Subaru team, being ahead of drivers like Peter Solberg or Chris Atkinson. This Renaissance decal sheet allows you to transform your Tamiya kit reproducing the decoration of this rally.

Additional details for the Peugeot 307 WRC marking / livery:

The Peugeot 307 WRC competed in the World Rally Championship for just two seasons (2004 and 2005) as the official Peugeot team car, replacing the 2003 championship winner, the Peugeot 206 WRC. The 307 WRC took a total of three WRC wins with Marcus Gronholm at the wheel, before Peugeot dropped out of the World Championship at the end of 2005. Following its retirement, the car was used by privateer teams until 2010. After using the 206 WRC in the 1999 to 2003 seasons, and winning three manufacturers' and two drivers' titles, Peugeot decided to replace the small 206 with a larger model, and for marketing reasons Peugeot's new WRC was based on the 307 CC, a convertible with a retractable hardtop. The rally version of the 307 CC underwent major modifications, most notably to the retractable roof portion, which was welded and fixed to accommodate the roll cage inside the passenger compartment. The 180 hp two-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine in the street version was raised to 300 hp. The Peugeot 307 WRC made a successful debut at the 2004 Rallye Monte Carlo, with Marcus Gronholm and Freddy Loix finishing fourth and fifth respectively. The 307 WRC's three world championship victories, all at the hands of Gronholm, came at the 2004 and 2005 Finland rallies and the 2005 Rally Japan. After Peugeot's withdrawal at the end of 2005, many privateer drivers continued to use the 307 WRC in various world rallies, reaching as many as seven podium finishes in 2006. Manfred Stohl achieved no fewer than four podium finishes (Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and Wales) in the Peugeot 307 WRC, while Henning Solberg (Turkey), Toni Gardemeister (Monte Carlo) and Gigi Galli (Argentina) achieved a podium each. The Peugeot 307 WRC made its last appearance in a world rally in 2010. The Peugeot 307 WRC concluded its WRC career with three wins and 23 podium finishes. It was the last Peugeot car in a premier category in the world of rallying since the French factory has not yet officially participated in the World Rally Championship.
